About The Event
Live Loud Running, bitch
WHAT?The second running of the Six Hours at The Reservoir, in lovely Ansonia, Connecticut! Counter-clockwise around 3.8-ish mile loops near the Quillinan Reservoir in Naugatuck State Forest on moderately technical singletrack at the end of winter. Yep, there could be snow on the ground, there could be ice. It could be 64 degrees and sunny. There could be mountains of mud. Last year we did it differently with "washing machine" style loops but this year it's all counter-clockwise (the tougher way). Last year we had a guy do nine (9) laps or 34.2 miles to take the unofficial win. You have what it takes? I highly doubt it. Because there's about 450 feet of elevation gain per loop so it's not easy.
WHERE?Quillinan Reservoir, Naugatuck State Forest on Ansonia, CT. You better recognize.
WHY?Because it's there.
WHEN?Last Saturday in March of 2020. See above for possible weather outcomes.
HOW?Running. Should go without saying, but here we are: no wimps, no whining, no refunds, no bandits, no jackassing, no douche-canoes, no attitudes. Just running. For six hours on rough trails with rad people.
You'll get a dope Live Loud tech shirt, an award from Ragged Cuts, drinks from Skratch and a clean porta-potty. And running, lots of running. Limited to 50 runners and yes, there's a waitlist.
